About Luton

Luton is a small town but a very populous one. It is an area unitary authority with Borough Status and is located in Bedfordshire, England. According to the 2021 annual census, Luton, together with the adjoining towns of Houghton Regis or Dunstable, had an estimated population of approximately 286,450. This figure is considerably higher than the 218,045 recorded at the 2019 census. Luton lies approximately 30 miles north-west of London on the River Lea.


Surprisingly Luton has a history of 250,000 years. This makes it an historical town. History is found at almost every point in the town. It is home to League One Team Luton Town Football Club. They play at the Kenilworth Road stadium since 1905.
